Led by president Marriette Katarahweire as the team manager, the talented team played with skill, zeal and determination. Team captain Rtn Jude Ddamulira produced an eye-catching performance scoring some of the best goals of the tournament. Rtn Nimrod Agasha commanded the team from the midfield while Rtn Challenge Keijuko manned the defense.
PE Martin Ssendyona took on the role of the attacking midfielder making some of the assists. In the goal was PP Albert Ajuna who made amazing saves.
RC Namugongo was drawn in the same group with RC Kampala West, RC Kampala North. RC Namugongo marginally missed qualification for the second round. The cheerleaders were led by President Marriette and Patient Atwongyeire.
The 5-A-side tournament was sponsored by DStv among other. The event was graced by District Governor Hon Dr Mike Kenedy Sebalu who displayed amazing skills. Rotary 5-a-side in annual event organised by RC Kiwantule. PE Martin Ssendyona promised to prepare better for next edition with aim to win the tournament.
